Why Tinicum Park?
Severe storms recently took a toll on Tinicum Park, causing the loss of many trees and impacting the local ecosystem. As a place deeply connected to nature and conservation, it’s the perfect setting for our sustainability efforts. Nestled along the Delaware River, the park provides an opportunity to restore what was lost, plant new life, and bring the community together in a meaningful way. Through our event, we hope to make a lasting impact, not just for the park but for the environment as a whole.
What To Expect
Digging: We’ll be digging holes for trees, so expect some dirt on your clothes. This is NOT a fashion show—dress accordingly.
Lifting: Trees don’t plant themselves! Be ready to lift, carry, drop, and maybe even team up for some heavy lifting. Environmental Strength!
Watering: Trees need water, and so might you! Expect some splashes, so don’t be surprised if you leave a little damp.
Heat: It’s going to be a bright, sunny day—perfect for planting. Make sure to bring lots of water, stay cool, and don’t melt!
